These are two of the most visible people in tech having a juvenile battle in public. In all truthfulness, Calacanis regularly serves as a warning to me about how not to handle oneself, and how just because your are successful doesn't mean

I think an entrepreneur who can't scrap up $500 for lunch if they believed it would help them succeed is unlikely to be much of a success. You must have some marketable skill and ability to make money with that skill....

45% is not "little real support." That's 1 in 20 people from passing. I'd put some money that it got overwhelming support in the cities, particularly San Francisco.

It's an interesting debate to have, but this article is a bunch of hogwash. China has a booming middle class and an extremely "functional" diaspora. http://www.wikinvest.com/concept/Rise_of_Chinas_Middle_Class

I think that people who think this way tend to smoke pot, not the other way around. There are plenty of fully functional pot smokers without conspiracy theories. This is like sitting in a bar listening to the same sob stories repeated wee

The choice of language and framework often seems like a big one, but how often do people regret their decision? If you do, what was your choice and what's wrong with it? I suspect most people don't care in the end.

I haven't seen an explanation for this, but I could be related to ec2 issues today. I'm a heroku user. Downtime with any host always seems to happen with bad timing, during a daily client call today. However I'm not concerned about heroku

There is also responsibility toward employees, customers, and partners, and to leave a reputation for building great companies and products. It's only a pure exit if none of those things will carry on and the investors get only cash, which

Lots of business practices are considered legal but sleazy, and above-board companies won't engage in the them even if they increase profits - from high pressure sales tactics to child labor where it's legal. Why is it that companies like G

If you know it's tongue in cheek, why not call it a creative humorous expression of frustration instead of being angry at the kid? Frankly, I'd consider hiring him for being bold and thinking outside the box - if I had any position he was

I agree that Truyoo has potential. Similar ideas have come up in brainstorming with others and I think something like this will catch on. I'm not sure payment is necessary to do this. Facebook Connect solves this problem to some extent,

A contrarian takes the opposite position whenever possible. I think my record of comments does not expose me as a contrarian, however contrary opinions are often the most interesting ones and worth expressing. And I'm quite sure I'm not th

I don't disagree with this. However I also think being overly sensitive, and taking yourself too seriously, is poisonous. Like bringing up politics or religion, there is a gray area. Nobody wants to hear a talk about ruby laden with penis

I stand by my point. Those who scream offense should more often look within themselves. This is especially true of people offended by sexuality because we are a culture so ridden by sexual guilt that most of us are confused and repressed.

Wish I had the time to extensively rebut in this way, but completely agree. Privilege exist everywhere at all times, with all kinds of complexity, and goes both ways many times. It is overcome through character, not complaint.

A prime example of the type of over-sensitivity I refer to. First - It's a jab, because I do think those who constantly make a point of being offended need to get a life. We all do it sometimes, but we need to recognize it as a flaw instea
