That's a great angle, hasn't thought about it like that. I'm not sure it solves the "stack" problem that alternatives would face. Would that go so far as to regulate payment processors that are accepting and handlin

Does the bill in fact restrict anyone from saying the word "gay"? If not, continuing to use the misnomer is spreading misinformation.

Anything remotely politically polarizing on HN consistently brings out that crowd. The tribalism on HN is intense.

putting the erroneous media-assigned name of the bill in quotes doesn't make it any less erroneous. while the bill has flaws and is justly upsetting, we should not continue to propagate a falsehood.

Unsolicited feedback: That's a mouthful of a product name there. I can't reason how to properly pronounce it, and it's incredibly awkward to read visually. If you're looking for adoption and engagement with the project,

The prolific "threads" that have supplanted blog posts are one of the worst aspects IMHO. The threads get engagement, and that's addictive, but it's a horrible way to consume information.

I often see this sentiment associated with those who wish to regulate political speech they find offensive. It's convenient if everything is political so that everything said can be regulated.

Clearly you don't follow popular trends. What's popular and desirable changes frequently, and sometimes many times in the course of a year. This includes physical appearances. Social change can happen overnight.

Anecdotal evidence is a tricky thing. I'm over 6 foot and was the last to be married among two social groups in two different states, the vast majority of my peers significantly shorter than myself. And I wouldn't consider myself
