No real difference in Tampa other than colder weather being more frequent than recent memory. The one noticeable difference this year is that the pollen that causes my eyes to itch showed up a few weeks before normal.

I would argue that if you needed n number of functions, where n is unknown, or n cannot be set to a reasonable number that can handle traffic, and cold starts are unacceptable, you would be using the wrong bit of infrastructure.

How far out do we want to go with this? Do we want to get insanely pedantic and state that the Ice Age was temporary? Would a years-long recession still amount to "temporary downturn"? The questions are ludicrous, including yours.

> And we also realize a downturn is temporary. Wait, what? We're in a legitimate recession. Are they speaking about a recruiting downturn or an economic downturn here?

I inferred no ideaoligic reasoning in my post. I only referenced financials I hadn't thought were public (which I've since learned were). Perhaps ideology is being injected?

If you're downvoting, please explain why. This was a comment in earnest and there have been some very pertinent points made in response, which further makes the narrative interesting and I've definitely learned of a few things.

You think that tagging Lorenz is an equivalent to people posting for help on HN? She's a known antagonist with no morals or journalistic integrity. That's quite the insult to the HN community.
