Why does it seem like you are giving him a pass for treason? Everyone has struggles. This does not give you a pass to become a spy for a hostile foreign nation and endanger the lives of your countrymen.

You are trying to verify an innate property of a person by measuring the emergent outcome of their choices. While this is a good litmus test, I do not think the answer to quantifying this acclimation toward a certain profession is something

I am confused, because free speech/freedom from censorship only applies to that which is oppressed by the Government, not private companies.

This is assuming that all threads need a global view of the data. When this is not the case, it is sufficient to have many async goroutines ingest on a channel and fill their own local map, lock-free. This is our general strategy for high-p

Thank you for creating this resource; it is incredibly interesting. Regarding the brain teasers (and, by extension, the higher-level math involved), do you have any resources you would recommend for (re)learning the mechanics involved? I to

I am replying to you as an engineer at an IoT company that provides SaaS in AWS for the data our devices produce. To solve this problem, we transmit our data in a proprietary "raw" binary format that then gets parsed into a protob

What good does blame serve? If there is only moral blame -- as opposed to legal blame -- then the only recourse is at the individual level. Accordingly, I no longer use Facebook (or Instagram).

I firmly believe it is the individual's responsibility to determine the veracity of the information they consume, to the best of their ability. If the platform of information isn't Facebook, it's some other medium of communic

This is interesting. Did they give specific reasons for voting Nay (or abstaining)? Is it because it would not pass the Senate regardless?

Can you give a concrete example of when you actually use BFS to solve this? For me, it always goes like this: * Am I iterating over a list multiple times? * Am I iterating over a list and comparing it to some elements in another list? Turn

The concerns you raise are true in corner cases, but the general use case should be good enough. Your solution also seems to require mounting one of your devices at the entryway of every room for which you wish to monitor occupancy. Seems l

At the risk of sounding condescending, what you did was a crime and potentially makes you liable under the CFAA. Probably, no one in law enforcement would care, but I would not advise doing this in the future.

The article speaks about feeling judged, not actually being judged. I am quite certain that no one at these conferences (or at social networking events of any kind which involved alcohol) cares if someone is abstaining from alcohol.

We us NATS (and STAN) for real-time IoT metrics and reporting with a high cardinality of subscriptions. The throughput from a single NATS box is very nice (we currently send 100K+ messages/sec using a single EC2 instance running NATS).
