That doesn't exist, for it to work it has to terminate TLS. You can't do something like Access without decrypting the connection.

The fun part is that with LLMs we can now sometimes put absolute garbage in and still get good results.

I have to close at least 10 of these stupid prompts every single day. Accept all has proven to be the fastest way to get it to go away. I don't even read what it says. If there's a prompt appearing on a website with a button that

I've never really understood how Firebase makes any sense. Why would you let the frontend access the database directly?

Preserving the source for every movie would be absurdly expensive. That can easily be many terabytes each. Textures and models are huge if any CGI was used. Not to mention all the raw footage... Wouldn't be surprised if most studios ju

People are currently lobbying in the US to set up much worse legislation.

What the hell is going on at Apple? It's starting to become really funny to see one obviously non-compliant malicious compliance attempt being made after another. Do they really not understand that they're no longer involved in th

That's actually exactly what the DMA is supposed to solve. So maybe you just need to wait.

Of course they can, why is this news? If you intend to use it anonymously why would you set a recovery email to something that identifies you?

Maybe they've finally realized that the $38 billion fine for failing to comply was in fact not a joke. The stock dumped 10% almost immediately after the announcement, might also have something to do with it.

In this case, the DMA theoretically allows a $38 billion fine for every year in which Apple shows any non-compliance (10% of global revenue, assuming it does not change from 2023 numbers) Given this legislation was specifically created to t

I mean of course the idea was to put it in a form that is sent using POST, but even then, it's a single-use reset code so once it shows in the log it's worthless.

You could send the user a code that they must copy paste onto the page rather than sending them a link.

This is total nonsense, Tencent only has a minority stake in Epic, like they do with most other gaming companies.

That would be a monumentally stupid decision when they could instead simply comply with the law and continue making slightly fewer billions of revenue. Investors won't let them do that, heads would roll.

Epic doesn't care whether Apple shows "grace", or needs them to, they are going in by force with the backing of the EU legislation. It might just take a year or two longer to get through the courts. They can hold out that lon

The fines Apple is going to collect for intentionally failing to comply with the DMA are going to be of Epic proportions, exceeding any profit they could have gotten by continuing to steal 30% from society. Ready your popcorn buckets for

It is not relevant whether Apple trusts Epic - they are not legally allowed to block them while running a core platform service.
