Why within the next 6 months ? Immigration will let you in when they will, no matter what route you try, and it might take longer than that for a myriad different reasons. Also, do you actually know anything about the country other than wha

There's no "total control" of anything in life. Not even close. > Others turn 21 and buy a house. A vanishingly small number of "others", no matter the country or culture, can buy a house at 21 years of age. And

Yes, I know. That's the link I posted : Development version GIMP 2.99.12 Released. Thanks, I see he has scripts to build AppImages of many other things. Incredibly useful.

Need an AppImage that is portable, unrelated to the system. It will be in fact in an sd card to be used on several devices.

It's expected. Your body adapts to constant use. Read about tolerance and resistance to drugs to see how this works. I used to drink about 3 liters of tea, daily, for years. And I slept just fine. Then I stopped drinking tea. If I have

Well, I don't have an issue with the telemetry policy per se, but I do with the fact that Plasma depends on it being there, even if not used. That's not reasonable to me ( and others -- you can find various levels of protest since

I wrote myself that it is opt-in, and several times, don't make it sound like I'm screaming to avoid KDE or saying something that isn't true. The packages are not easily removed, and this is not reasonable or justifiable. Why

KDE says there's no issue. Plasma since 5.18 comes with telemetry. Just try to remove the packages related to telemetry in KDE ( don't remember off the top of my head the exact names ) and the whole DE is dismantled, they're

How long until this is an essential, non-removable part of GNOME, as telemetry is now in KDE ? Yes, I know it's opt-in in KDE, but the fact it takes down the whole DE if you remove it speaks volumes.

Yes, the last two years have opened my eyes about what it's like living with a serious chronic medical condition. It's one of those things you can't really understand until you live it yourself, much as you may see it often i

Thank you. Given some of the responses ( and direct accusations of "toxic genderbaiting", wanting to "split HN", etc. ) I will not comment or participate at all, simply afraid. I regret having asked now.
