They're using GNU parallel, which will default to the number of CPU threads available, but which can be tweaked to your liking. https://www.gnu.org/software/parallel/sphinx.html

Buffett himself made and won a $1M bet with a hedge fund manager that over 10 years, a set of hedge funds could not outperform the S&P 500. https://money.cnn.com/2018/02/24/investing/warren-buffett-an

So, how would it be possible if it was correlated with other data?

I don't think that was their point. If you went to a bank in the 1940s and made a withdrawal, they wouldn't pull your account slip, erase the balance, and write in the new one. They would add a new line to the ledger noting a new

I don't think miles travelled per fatality is a useful point of comparison for general aviation. This puts it about on par with pedestrian deaths per mile travelled, and I don't think most people would call walking "extremely

Ok, so per hour it is comparable to motorcycles. But consider also that the average private pilot only flies 100-150 hours per year. I don't disagree that it is more dangerous than automobiles or commercial flight. But I wouldn't

I would guess the majority of time in general aviation is not for the purpose of travel. It's a hobby.

Is it? In US General Aviation, there were 332 deaths in 19,454,467 flight hours in the year 2020. https://www.ntsb.gov/news/press-releases/Pages/NR20211117.as...

I agree, that is annoying. It seems as though they are preparing to release 1.0 soon, so we'll find out soon enough.

If you're using Gmail, I can recommend Mimestream [1]. It's still in beta, but I've been using it for the better part of a year without issue. Fast, simple, clean. [1] https://mimestream.com/

Right, but it doesn't cost Microsoft anything to add their logo as an additional check. If laws or court precedent change, it's already there. (For example, the DMCA came long after the Sega decision)

That was my thought upon reading that as well. I think Nintendo pioneered this strategy with the Gameboy - if the cartridge didn't start by showing the Nintendo logo, the Gameboy would not boot. And if you used the Nintendo logo withou

The percentage that the bank charges merchants is fixed (for e.g. all Visa credit cards.) If you have a non-rewards Visa credit card, the bank just pockets the entire processing fee. With a rewards credit card, you get some of that fee back

Right, I get that, but the thing people value (I think) is the recipe itself, which is also the part that can be copied (when separated from the opinions and subjective perceptions, which I suspect most people don't care about).
