Unfortunately "user customisation" should not be an answer to a poor design decision that affects all users, including the vast majority who don't have the skill, time, or knowledge available to customise such things.

Its such a shame they don't offer accreditation. I'm a prime candidate for their courses by the loom of it, but won't undertake without something to show for it.

Visual studio also largely trended towards an MVC model + ORM which made implementing forms on a front end an absolute nightmare and led to a lot of security issues, poor usability issues, and lack of agility in changing and updating comple

That's awesome, thanks for sharing. I wonder how this would work in warm climates. Where I live, winter rarely drops below 18C, and summer rarely below 23C.

Chromecast still requires another device to send the video to it. Using a media serving device like a pi can mean you avoid tying up another device and the whole solution winds up being just like any other media system attached to your TV.

I'm inclined to agree with your sentiment here. My degrees are in earth sciences and engineering. What I do day to day is apply the principles of these things, are they are relevant to my field, to the role that I'm in at a techni

I dont think they were talking about average users reading it, but rather permissions are used as a trigger for the thoroughness / rigour of review scrutiny. Ie, this is a proposal to help the pulish/takedown issue, rather than to

The important thing is that they've made it very difficult to reply to nonsense claims with links to authoritative news sources. They even wound up inadvertently banning some government websites.

I think the is rather that there's no pre rendering of the tiles serverside, even dynamically. Its all client side. Ie, updates should just require a dataset update, not a regeneration of map tiles for a tile store in the case of pre r

Displaying so many points is something spatial people have struggled with for a long time. Would you consider writing a leaflet plugin that helps with your approach?

The barriers to entry, usage, and understanding are just too high for average Joe. That and how the value of their money fluctuates compared to fiat makes it more difficult to use as a daily currency. Also, when things go wrong there'

This is an important step, and reminder, that governments can and should be held to account for things such as human rights violations. It is extremely disappointing that there are no whistle blower laws that can provide adequate protection
