I like it. Its a little awkward that the line doesn't draw when your cursor / finger is held down, and only on release. Other than that, great. I had no dramas getting out of pan mode.

I needed to hear this today. Today I was presenting a training session on some advanced modelling techniques to a group of users who usually only meet once a year, and had tested the demo to death over the preceeding months. I'm aware

this is the comment that hits the nail on the head. Cognitive load. I know well there are many good reasons to be on modern languages, but vb did make things easy.

This is how I learned to code. Ot was excellent. Its been very hard over the course of my career to learn other non basic languages, and I attribute it largely to those help files being so good that it became my first and main language.

Even when you require bleeding edge performance, you generally can. Like other languages, knowing where to find tour efficiencies, and the right tools for the job is rather important.

Oh, there's plenty of original fans alive. And plenty of them still game! For many of us I'd say that some of the newer games leave us behind because we don't have all the spare time that we did when we were younger. Hack, s

I've done almost the same thing. DDG, reddit in old mode. Google is now just for maps and stackoverflow related searches. Been at it for 4 months.

LoRa cannot handle much data at all. At the lowest data rate you're talking 51 bytes taking 400ms to transmit. Its also far better at uplink traffic than downlink, meaning 2 way communication is very, very, very limited.

It could work the other way too? Where the small company loses they must now pay the fees of the larger company. Nobody can afford to defend themselves against the large company because they might have to pay the large companies fees

A year long project to install a mini split? Wow. Split systems are the norm on my continent, and most can be installed in well under a day. Many installers can do multiple per day into existing dwellings, code compliant, filled, sealed, an

I see a nodemcu, some sparkfun and adafruit gear. I see the node sitting on some plug in headers over a breakout board. That looks like things I like to play with. I'm not an electrical engineer, but am an earth scientist , engineer, p

Let's not forget that other major centres have their own tv studios and broadcasts: Wollongong, Newcastle, Mackay, Townsville, and probably many others. Similar for radio. ABC has local radio programs that are bulked with national prog

In this case the author shares your view. That is until the point where the third review found their video in violation. One might argue there is a corrupted element in the youtube moderation team that is either lazy, or on the take. I'

$6 is about the cost of monthly hosting for many personal websites. I'd argue theres not a good value proposition here, at the low end of the scale at least.

When the clock is almost always midnight, surely we are either on the cusp, or the time is set incorrectly. Although there are many things wrong I'd argue that we are nowhere near as bad off as during the peak of the cold war, for exam

The one reference I didn't see was to chunking. Currently using Dask because of its graceful chunking of large and medium data - but pandaspy doesn't make reference to this capability.

I have a set of the WH1000XM3's, coming from a couple of different QC over ear headphones. I love the WH1000XM3's to death. They sound great, are comfortable, and have very good battery life.

Not quite true with regards to local and downstream environments. The best case here is probably to identify deforested areas that are geographically constrained - ie difficult for seeds to be blown or washed away, and plant there - noting
