I was playing around with the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) a couple weeks ago. I tried & failed to install two programs on WSL, Elixir & Debootstrap. It's worth mentioning that WSL isn't intended to be 100% Linux co

I've been writing Elixir for almost a year, and have yet to build a Phoenix app. I did write a Plug hello world app once, just to see if my container was wired up correctly.

I don't hate JS, but I do find it a bit taxing to write JavaScript that might have bugs due to unexpected behavior in the language. I'm in the process of rounding out my self-taught programming mojo with some intro to CS courses,

Not an expert on the subject, but I recall hearing somewhere that selling blood gives people an incentive to lie about their health history. "Do you shoot up illicit drugs with shared needles?" "Um... No. No I do not."

There's nothing that prevents that. However, Ruby is traditionally thought of as a language written in C, and the gold standard for a Ruby interpreter to be 100% compatible with anything that runs on MRI. So writing JVM specific exte

A lot of it might just be timing. Dev Bootcamp (the original bootcamp?) started up when Rails was the cool kid on the block, and it was a break out success. They proved there was a market, and the busy model was easy to clone. A bunch of

I mostly enjoy streaming music, as I find it a hassle to manage a music library. For about 3 years, I was a paying Pandora member, and mostly happy with it. I had created one super station with 250-ish artists. One day, I decided to crea
