I would love experimentation and innovation in this direction. I see students solving complex differentiation and integration problems without understanding what's going on, or being able to apply calculus to the real world problems. I

Why not define additional metrics around what you would spot check and then produce a consolidated figure of merit as the metric to optimize. Aren't we doing that with AI training and general optimization (including regularization).

>> Acceleration is not relative (like velocity), it's absolute. May be a naive question, but why is this so? Is there a different type of 'ether' when we consider acceleration? Edit: Actually I have the same question

Indeed. Both sides, product/service providers and consumers, try to game the system. That makes it very hard to figure what is the truth.

When they applied Heisenberg principle to vacuum to bring up zero point energy, Casimir force was found, etc., I understood thtis as the principle opposing nothingness.

Two questions: Does this apply retroactively? If someone is found to have written fake reviews or paid to get them written in the past, would the rule apply to them too? (I hope so.) Can the rule be imposed if the culprits are all outside

>> Just require an order number ... This does not solve the problem. Fake reviewers often purchase the product on paper. Behind the scenes, the seller may not even ship and instead buy fake shipment tracking from the shipping company

Thanks. Now I understand the significance of the ruling better. Love this. I am in general interested in seeing free speech being replaced by truthful or well-intentioned speech. Fact-checking is hard, and GenAI is making this worse. In

Hoping it should. When real, testimonials are hand-picked from the full set of reviews and feedback. That practice should be banned too. Of course, creation of rules would do only so much. The real deal is ability to execute those in prac

I do not think the collective rating on Amazon is a blind average of the individual reviews and ratings. So what you say is probably already being done along with use of other similar signals.

If you read through the link, the estimation for.probability of finding life elsewhere ranges from practically none to very high. When the former is also a.part of that range, could it not be that we actually do not have life anywhere else

That's right. But it does create doubt. To prove, we would need to find such life. To not have doubt, we need to have a reasonably high confidence that such life is there. However, the estimates are so wild and range from very unlike
