Sadly x86/arm/mips/sparc/power processors aren't Perl machines and Perl6 thusly can't be used to make a kernel for a Unix derivative.

I can't speak to your needs, but my company will be using a dedicated server for backup, but linode for the front-end.

I'm not speaking to you as someone interested in your idea, I'm here to help someone is clearly unfamiliar with how this community tends to communicate and interact. Also, you failed to directly reply to comment, breaking the thread. Click

What are you offering in the way of compensation? Equity, standard contract rates? The people around here tend to be fairly ambitious self-starters, so you aren't going to find anyone brilliant who is going to agree to WFH without substanti

I don't think statistics like what you've just stated are meaningful. The most brilliant people who are the most likely to be interested in a startup are going to be in San Fran. I'm a software developer who's co-owned a company before.

San Fran is going to have more people, but it really depends on where you'd rather live. I would advise against working virtually if possible.

My first impulse, if I'm told I have to pick 'one' language, is to fall back to my desert island languages, C and C++. I'm incredibly productive in Python, but if I have to pick 'one', I'd rather work from first principles. It's not like I

By all means, use a CFG or a PEG for parsing emails . While you do that, I'll do something that doesn't involve tweezers and code.

Regex is the only real sensible way to validate strings until something better is found. Even if you just wrote code to do it manually, you'd really just be writing a verbose and poorly implemented finite state machine that globbed symbols

This seems like pretty pointless mental fiddling. First off, you make unwarranted claims, like that your imaginary implementation would be fast. You don't know that and you can't know that. You don't seem to realize that the kinds of langua

The commentary wasn't contributing to the conversation and doesn't fit the tone the community seeks here. Playful/rude banter is fine, but this isn't the place for it. Try not to encourage this kind of mindlessness. P.S. I'm a BSD supporter
