It doesn't really matter what strategy you have, as long as you've agreed on a strategy beforehand. In the past, we've done coin flips, even/odd pepperonis on a pizza, rock-paper-scissors, even a ping pong game. Another alternative that I

I really enjoyed this article, and it definitely took a different bent than I expected, which I'm starting to think will be a hallmark of Mr. Altucher's writing. His excellent advice boils down to the following: Have personal contact with e

Having just finished my annual re-reading of Peopleware, I'm gonna pick up a copy of this book to see how it compares in its conclusions on the topics covered in both books.

This just resolved my biggest complaint about their nifty little device. Glad to see another useful API out in the field.

I'd definitely start with the completed tasks. Anything not completed I'd save for the end and try to brush off as "putting the finishes touches on" or "need to rethink some of the workflow" or something like that.

I'm really curious what the status would be of third-party content applications. Let's say that Amazon exposed reading functionality in a Kindle Web API but not purchasing functionality. So I implement an iOS application called kReader

I was almost completely buying into the theme park and pizza concession analogy. But then I thought of the one exception. You're allowed to buy Amazon pizza outside of the park and bring it in for free, but only if Amazon has agreed to se

Okay, I was wrong. I don't know when they updated the App Store Review Guidelines without notice, but they did. The above would be true if it was only 11.14 that needed to be dealt with. I hadn't yet seen the text for 11.13. Given the t

When you ask questions like this, you really need to state where exactly you live. If you don't, all answers are going to be vague generalities since we can't say "Stop by your local Founder's Exchange". However, if you said, "I'm in Pi

This seems like a silly move to me. I would have expected a zune running Phone 7 to help push the OS to more users. I would love to have a Phone 7 device to hack around on, but I've already got a phone and data plan.

Stocks used to be priced in eighths of a dollar. So if a stock was selling for $1.50, the next increment up was $1.625 and the next step down was $1.375. They are now priced down to the penny, so a $1.50 stock can go directly to $1.51 or
