This. I am not enough of an expert to evaluate the flaws, so my safe bet is - avoid flying in them. I gain nothing by flying in those planes where I can find good alternative flights, so why risk it, even if the risk is very low?

Boeing 737-MAX, I don’t know if it’s the increased coverage or poor quality/design/software flaws but I always check the plane before booking a flight to ensure I don’t get on one of these.

Pick a skill you would enjoy learning about, and start learning about it. Start picking up odd jobs on upwork to practice it. Even dead simple ones will help you start practicing the craft and feel useful. Keep doing it and it will improve.

FB/Instagram became boring for a very long time. Their recent pivot to "discovery" is a move in the right direction, but they are still ways off from staging a return. And all this is overshadowed by the Metaverse. They'

FB advertising works extremely well, little less so after Apple's changes, but still it's a beast. If you look into FB financials, revenue per user has more room to grow, outside US if nothing else, but I think US as well. So &quo

I am a M1 Max user and I would love to have Apple go back to Intel. Sure, the battery life and not overheating is great, but you are limited to Arm based solutions, when installing linux VMs for example. Or gaming. Everyone seems to have f

Very telling… the guy hasn’t had a success in the last 10 years and still gets top roles. Seems like he can sell himself well. There needs to be accountability for these failures of execution.

Given Intel’s execution track record and even recent mishaps (where’s my Sapphire Rapids Pat, or the gpus?!) even getting this is a big step. They better deliver their A game if they hope to win any real trust.

I’ve been reading about Pat Gelsinger turning things around on execution, but many of the announced products for this year are already late (Sapphire Rapids, GPUs, even alder lake roll out was late). Do you know if anything has changed at I

Intel - until recently, Intel was recycling equipment/retiring old nodes. Now with IFS it's moving toward keeping each node alive and using it for their IFS segment. They've brought back a lot of engineers, and are gaining tr

Must be nice enjoying that pricing power with virtually no competition. This just makes Intel Foundry Services a much more enticing option as a way to play both companies against each other.

It is not low impact. It makes a huge difference from an investor point of view if increased revenue comes from gaming (evergreen) or crypto mining (trend at best, hype). SEC failed to disclose the actual numbers, thus righting the wrong Nv

Indeed. Even a “any ad mentioning these words goes for review” makes a difference. it has to be a culture issue inside fb. So much of this is just wrong, to go on without much scrutiny and get to this point is just mind boggling.

I am of the opinion it hasn't affected them YET. Just a lowly developer waiting for his MBP for over 11 weeks now, waiting for Intel's mobile Alder Lake to roll out so I can cancel my order and pick one up.
