I think the difference is that the calling cards are for a set number of minutes and a monthly internet service is just a on/off thing. The other thing I wonder about though is gift cards - I'm sure there have to be tons of dollars that exp

I think you're right that as you learn about something, you feel invested and find more interest in it. I also think that as you learn about one thing you may find other areas or topics that you can learn about - so "what you love" may actu

Additionally it may be the case that a large part of the value of the algorithm is created from its secrecy. If the algorithm was open it would be trivial to create sites with artificially high rankings which would reduce the value of the s

Make a quiz out of it - "think the quiz is wrong, join the group and tell us why", also get AAA to sponsor it somehow. I'm sure they or someone like them are looking to get into advertising to that demographic.

I agree - I think this is more a cross-stitch pattern than ascii art - especially since it only uses one character (X). It is however quite fancy, and I do appreciate the time it would have taken to produce it.

Great article, I'd love to see more data about advertising/sales - especially conversions. How close of a correlation can you make with the banner placements and increase in sales. It seems like once you're in the top 100 listing, there is

I just wanted to emphasize that the best part about Kaiser is their interface - it is super simple to schedule and receive care and it rarely felt "slugish" to go through their processes.
