Yes, retrying always fixes the problem. And for the purpose of getting the latest monitor values from time to time to keep the UI in sync, this suffices. I'm more surprised that I2C works at all over the long, thin Thunderbolt cable of

Thanks! Yes, it can be hard to let people know that an app like this actually exists. Some people don't even feel the need for such a thing and just stare hours at a time into a blinding 100% brightness panel when working at night time

Yes, I should have probably written something about that as well. Apple vendored displays have a proprietary protocol implemented over USB so that macOS can natively change the brightness and volume. Lunar can take advantage of that as well

On Linux, there is a very comprehensive CLI utility called ddcutil: https://github.com/rockowitz/ddcutil The same author also made some kind of UI for it but I haven't used it so I don't know how it looks or

I’m from Romania. Not exactly the country you’d be eager to expand to. But I’ve been using Wise (former TransferWise) to receive ACH payments and payouts from Stripe in an US based bank account. So it should be possible to have any business

Unfortunately, I'm not based in Canada or US. I tried signing up as a business to find more users for my app [1] but the country dropdown was a blocker. Is this for legal/tax reasons? Too much paperwork? I can totally understand,

The idea is great and the instructions clear and easy to follow for a quick integration. (the localhostmagicsquared.net workaround is a brilliant idea) But I see you are using RS256 and that makes me think of a security issue. Since you ar

I have an LG Ultra HD monitor and I have been using Lunar with smooth transition for 2 years now. I have far exceeded the 100k writes mark, probably even more than 500k and I see no problem with my monitor. I think new monitors should be im

Only part of that is possible, changing from the current input to another. But as soon as the monitor is on another input it doesn't accept DDC messages on the first input anymore so Lunar wouldn't also be able to change back. I p

I think High Sierra doesn't have the Swift 5 libraries. You might need to install them from the Apple website first: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1998?locale=en_US I have that information in the troubleshooting

This is usually a hardware problem. I haven't found an easy way to detect if a GPU+monitor combination will have a very slow response time for DDC messages so all I can do in Lunar is send the messages to the monitor and if a number of

Lunar should work just fine with f.lux as it only changes the monitor hardware brightness. Color processing from f.lux can still be applied on top of that without any issues. I've been using Lunar with Night Shift ever since it was rel

I guess it makes sense to have that setting per monitor. I just have to rethink the monitor settings UI because it seems I can't fit anything else in there. I already have a lot of users telling me that the UI is too complex.

Lunar is signed and notarized with a paid developer certificate so I don’t think gatekeeper could block it in anyway. It’s possible that in High Sierra you are missing the Swift 5 runtime. You can find details about this in the troubleshoot

You could try Lunar[1] for that. It syncs your builtin monitor brightness to all your external monitors. As long as you have adaptive brightness enabled on your Macbook, the external monitors will also be adaptive. [1] https://lu
