I do as the GP, autopay the minimum to avoid fines (not just interest) but then go in and pay the remaining balance before the end of the month. Autopaying the full amount would work 95% of the time, except when I put something like a big h

Didn't know what NATS is, page doesn't explain it. Tried to click on the Docs link at the bottom of the page but that doesn't work. Stopped looking.

That map of European rail lines is woefully inaccurate. It probably shows only 5% of rail lines in London for example, if that.

Absolutely agree. I did a 7 mile each way cycle commute in London for many many years. Absolutely loved it. Reliable, consistent travel times, and never affected by train/tube strikes. The number of times I was delayed by a puncture or

No (well not in my case) as if I wasn't cycle commuting I'd be having a shower at home before going in to work. All cycle commuting did was move my shower from home to work, it doesn't add an extra shower and so doesn't

The irony is you can now read the reviews on Amazon and make up your mind if you want to but it, and then go buy it from somewhere else even, quelle horreur, a local bricks and mortar bookshop.

For me the first one that sticks in my head is the MCC distrib on ~10 floppies, with (I think) a bunch more for X. Definitely used 0.9[89] before that (late '93) but no solid memory of details. Kernel version 1.0.8 is burned into my br

For the sake of balance I'd just like to say that I agree with the GP on this. I miss my ~30 minute commute (by bike) from my old job. It provided good delineation between home and work, and 1h of good cardio a day meant I didn't
