It's actually public information, at least at a state level. Extrapolating that to the largest city in the state wouldn't be a hard process, and so I don't think it's concerning information if anonymized and aggregated.

I'd assume it refers to the email subject line, and it's likely a Gmail because these quant funds are notoriously secretive and secure. It's legitimate nonetheless.

The market responds to Trump's tantrums because it affects the potential of Amazon in the future. Basically, if Trump threatens to take some action against Amazon that may hurt its value as a company by 10%, and investors believe there

Could you recommend any resources (articles, books, podcasts, etc.) that go into more detail on the economic factors that come together to enable periods such as the Industrial Revolution, or really any period? I think economics offers a gr

As cited in the study, a common reason to not apply if under-qualified is 'to avoid wasting the time of the interviewer', and I think this is a likely reason. The trade-off of less aggressive language resulting in both more applic

Keep in mind that only 1/4 of those thousand passed an initial screen, which isn't even an interview step, but rather glossing over their resume to see if it fits the position. From there, only 117 passed a quick phone screen. It

Won't less aggressive language result in more applications from those who are less than 100% qualified, whether male or female? I don't see where the article shows that men will apply at the same rate regardless of aggressive lang

It does say in the article that this values the company at over $8.2b, and that they raised $756m in the IPO. If you mean that the title should describe market cap rather than share price, this does occur sometimes and I agree that it can b

That's the idea OP meant. Google lacks any incentive to screw with a site that has millions(?) of users, as it could have significant consequence, and so Pinterest gets away with what others wouldn't.
