> We need a better browser…. Don’t say Firefox. Brave could be it I suppose. Brave is just based on Chromium... it might have lots of different features, but still Chromium it is under the hood.

Something like that, but rather on the form of a .EFI executable (for example), to load it on UEFI firmwares that don't provide a CSM: there are many of them...

This is expected, given how hard it would be to DOS in a UEFI-based environment. Is anyone aware of a BIOS emulation layer (or an actual BIOS...) that can be loaded into UEFI to start BIOS-aware OS/programs?

Funny that old things like basic HTTP auth are regularly rediscovered by developers. There are also other flavours of authentication that can be used in this context, like Digest, supported by all major browsers and only sending hashed pass

Looks nice at a first glance! Any chance that one day there will be a light native, application for the various PC platforms (Linux/Windows/Mac) that doesn't require users to use their browser? (btw Firefox doesn't even

The page reads "A few weeks ago cellphone companies — and KUOW — switched to a 5G signal." What's the link between 5G and an FM radio station, anyone has an idea?

Many small enterprises probably aren't. But the CGNAT problem can be solved by a VPN seamlessly connecting to the rest of the enterprise network, for those companies that need incoming connectivity (might be for remote maintenance, for

Between the client and the SOCKS5 proxy? Of course using the SSH SOCKS proxy will encrypt data, I was rather thinking to a plain SOCKS5 proxy. Are there clients and servers supporting SOCKS-level encryption between the client and the proxy?

I use both VSCode and Notepad++, for different purposes. Notepad++ is great when only working on a few files, or just needing to edit something quickly. It's light, doesn't use a ton of memory and can open huge files quickly. VSCo

SciTE is super light, but has less functions. Notepad++ is based on the same engine (Scintilla), though. Both are infinitely lighter than Electron-based editors...
