I guess Dunkin’ deleting “Donuts” from its name 7-years ago, isn’t catching on. https://www.npr.org/2018/09/26/651905960/dunkin-deletes-donu...

How does this differ from a kids digital camera that costs only 1/10th the cost. Not trolling. Genuinely don’t understand. https://www.amazon.com/Camera-Digital-Toddler-Christmas-Birt...

Am I interrupting the data correctly in that, if you’re running on NVMe - it’s just so fast, that it doesn’t make a difference what mode you pick.

Would you consider old school coin operated arcades as something that should be banned? Just curious.

I don’t think JMAP Calendar spec has been ratified yet. https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-jmap-calendars/ And Contacts was only 10-months ago. https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9610.

Very cool. Would be interesting to hear why this over a general purpose text-based browser like Lynx. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynx_(web_browser)

But we all know the power of defaults. And by default, it will screen read & train from that data - no?

Just to confirm my understanding— Atlas can screen-read anything visible on my screen, right? So if I log into my online banking, it could capture my transaction details and balance from that page … and potentially use or train on that data

Very cool. Can you provide clarity on is a commercial license is needed. The license appears to be MIT but the yaak.app website gives the impression a license is required, even stating as such in FAQ.

Odd that OLTP wasn’t mentioned in the article. Postgres an an OLTP databases, which are designed for write heavy workloads. While that being said, I agree most people have read-heavy needs.

That's were my analogy isn't perfect. There's different tiers of restaurants. There's the luxury premium restaurants (Michelin star rated, like AWS), but there is also local dinners that arguably have phenomenal food too

It just felt like momentum slowed and/or there was less PR about Elixir/Phoenix. But I could be completely wrong (or have the wrong perception). Note: not at all suggesting hardwork/progress isn't being made.

After Elixir announcing being "feature complete" a few years ago, and then Phoenix going down the LiveView path for quite sometime ... I feel like the Phoenix/Elixir stack became less exciting to me. Hope to be wrong though

> As a work of the United States Government, this project is in the public domain within the United States . What does it mean for the license to say "within the US"? Does this mean this software cannot be used outside the US?

I'm be curious to know the breakdown of Pro vs Air vs Base iPad sales. Because I have to imagine very few people buy the iPad Pro (and for those who do, what use case are they buying it for).
