Agreed. Federighi and his team are seasoned vets in building and delivering software to millions. They aren't naive and know they need to balance end-user benefit with engineering's wishes for maintainability etc. Is the user goin

If you haven't seen Kelsey give a talk, well worth watching - really funny guy and intelligent. He gave one on Nomad and Kubernetes that's good.

If you are interested in finding out more about Massimo or other Chefs, 'Chef's Table' on Netflix is quite a good watch. He is the focus of episode 1.

Yup - I wonder if the article misrepresented the actual change because it seems a bit odd? This article has a lot of good points but some are really debatable. Not long ago, Hopper (app for flight price monitoring) published their experienc

Fan of Segment. Their team are super helpful. Recommend it. I've not really found a reason yet to not like them. Sure sometimes you need a lit bit of ad-hoc work, but the benefits outweigh the costs in my opinion. Sometimes the enginee

I was in Paris this weekend-just-gone and sat on the bench on Sunday on Champs-Élysées watching all these people walking down the road. I thought it had always been like this. Then I saw the police at around 6pm start to ease it up and marc

Unreal. These content blockers aren't hard to make. I started one the other day and couldn't believe they charge for them. Maybe I'm missing something?

Are there any high-profile apps using React Native other than those from FB? Native dev here, but considering an Android port, so wondering if maybe RN would be better.

Benjamin, really like uilang.js. Do you happen to know what animation libraries are being used for iOS or at least if they are custom?

Oh man. You really didn't give up, kudos to that. It is such a painful process. I've had a mixed bag of experiences too and just decided to focus on what I have in London and maybe it would work out later but wouldn't get my

Amazing news. Another success for the lab at Imperial. The team behind Surreal are really good from all the work I've seen. I used one of Stephen's projects for my masters thesis under the same supervisor (Andrew Davison) they all

1. Segment I recall reading a blog post by Andreas Klinger (Product Hunt) talking about analytics and what stuck with me was "there is no silver bullet". I've seen this blindness by a lot of people (myself too) and its hard t

My only real complaint is compilation time. I'm at around 3000 lines of code and maybe 30 files and it takes 2 minutes to compile and run. An Objective-C app would be less than a few seconds, but unfortunately Swift doesn't do inc
