This sort of thing fascinates me. If the universe is a simulation, is this not to be understood as the processor clock speed? (I've not read much of Nick Bostrom's work nor do I claim to know much about reasoning that the universe

There are many days I too feel I'm ready to die. But then realize I'm not ready. Couldn't understand why. Reading what Pieter just wrote makes realize that I lack fortitude in one aspect: compassion. Pieter's words confi

I too am horrible with lists. But when you get started - just a simple list of things (no calendar due dates etc) - just the list ... you start thinking differently. Step 1: Make a list. Step 2: Do nothing! Jokes aside, soon enough you&#

I'd add to this excellent suggestion which has worked for me: If we complete things that are not on the list, go note it on the list even though you've done it. I get frustrated whenever I end up doing things that are not on my li

Do you keep a simple list of things to finish? Whenever you think of something that needs to be done, jot it down. Carry that black book everywhere. See if that works.

Not sure about this suggestion. Long lines of text are difficult for eyes to track. That's why you'll see tools like "Clearly" format text into narrower columns. Apparently there is an optimum number of words per line

Just my 2c anecdote: I started using 100mg/day modafinil for the first time about a month ago (week days only). I felt no clear discernible cognitive enhancement that is often said about modafinil use. What I did however notice is th

Is WebAssembly going to be host url resource based (like current .js files are) or will it be used as part of some centralized global assembly cache (GAC) solution where assemblies are only usable from a CDN type of authority?

Old dog here. I have the opposite problem: I should have begun sooner with CSS and HTML & JavaScript. NodeJS next. Also, I should have started with Modafinil sooner to fix my ADD that prevents me from learning new stuff.
