Not really. Firefox and Brave are two great alternatives that suffer due to not being the default browser on most systems, unlike the current duopoly.

Not really since CMA also took aim at Google Chrome's dominance. If that is made no longer the default browser then it'd go a long way to increasing browser diversity. I can only hope Gecko (Firefox) grows in the wake of that.

How often does one want to individually allow specific 3rd-party cookies+images? uBlock already allows control over specific 3rd party scripts.

The default is supposed to be Wayland, since Xorg is no longer being actively developed. Though it's taking some distros a while to move to it as default.

Firefox has this feature natively, no need for an add-on. In Privacy & Security settings set it to clear all browsing data when Firefox closes, and simply add exceptions for whichever domains you want. This also has the advantage of cle

X11 is pretty poor for security, you should use Flatpak as it has sandboxing and still stores all its files in one directory.

Currently using Tailscale but looking to switch due to it's reliance on a centralised proprietary control node. From what I understand NetBird is a true mesh VPN with no central node reliance? Eager to try this once a mobile app is ava

I honestly don't know how people manage any serious web browsing without Tree Style Tabs. It's hell on Chromium-based browsers with their constantly shrinking tab width, and the workarounds aren't much better.

They treat Linux users like shit. Unlike their VPN apps on other platforms it still lacks WireGuard, split tunnelling, profiles, etc.

People arrested for their darknet activities have always had OPSEC failures that out them like reusing known email addresses or usernames. Being deanonymised during normal Tor browsing is extremely difficult and I'd challenge you to po

Even non-techies really, as long as you have someone to do that first install since there's very few companies that offer Linux as the default OS for their hardware.

Great to see this. I stopped using GnuCash completely once the Android app stopped getting updates, but if this web app works well it might get me back into it.

Sorry I was ignoring that unlocking the bootloader will do that. However if you're flashing a ROM or upgrading an already unlocked phone you do not need to format it.
