Currently using Tailscale but looking to switch due to it's reliance on a centralised proprietary control node. From what I understand NetBird is a true mesh VPN with no central node reliance? Eager to try this once a mobile app is available.
- braginini 4y agoWe also rely on a central Management layer which holds the network map. But it is open source.https://github.com/netbirdio/netbird/tree/main/management https://github.com/netbirdio/netbird/tree/main/management FYI: Network still be working in case the management service is down. See architecture overview: https://netbird.io/docs/overview/architecture https://netbird.io/docs/overview/architecture Every component can be self-hosted.
