Strange, I'm in the UK as well but everyone I know and meet uses WhatsApp. Got a few friends who are on Signal and Telegram also, but those are only in my more technology-oriented circles.

Protip: switch to an outliner with infinite nesting like Dynalist and dump bookmarks in there. You can far more easily categorise, tag and interlink bookmarks that way, and it eventually evolves into a personal wiki almost.

It appeals to gaming communities rather than business ones through it's design and features. You don't have to sign up to instances separately - there's a single account you use to sign into any, and you can adjust your pictu

And similarly to DF it's also getting a more accessible Steam version (Space Station 14 as well as Unitystation) to make it easier to start playing it. In my play experience SS13 wins out in terms of funny stories and variety, mainly b

DF has always been an interesting game to me, but I find it such a shame that such a deeply complex game remains closed-source. I've fortunately since found a number of open-source games that scratch the same itch - Cataclysm: Dark Day

It's really easy to avoid the negatives and stay anonymous whilst doing so, and I presume part of it is sticking a middle finger to the DRM industry.

I'd like to see games integrate a "trust score" mechanism where known configurations like immutable distros e.g. Fedora Silverblue, cloud gaming platforms and consoles don't have to run a client-side anti-cheat at all be

Fair enough, many of us on the other hand are repulsed by the Windows telemetry, poor customisation, resource usage, etc so I just keep a second drive to boot into Windows those few hours a week where I want to play a Windows exclusive.

I've got a few hundred games and the only one I noticed was noticeably worse on Linux is Star Citizen, and that's a game still in alpha so the optimisation in general is awful anyway.

You say this like it's all due to misinformation. There are many VAERS and other self-reports in other countries, many studies and countless doctors also coming out against this. Overall I think vaccines have higher pros/cons (I&#

Great to see another reader out in the wild. Mainstream optometry just making the problem worse to keep you as a customer instead of curing you is the same sort of issue that happens in so many industries from orthodontics to nutrition.

The compromise I've found is cloud gaming whilst on Linux for those few Windows-only. Even for competitive FPS and MOBAs GeForce NOW runs great for me.

Exactly. Either use the proprietary driver for the GPU you bought, deal with the flaws in the FOSS reverse engineered driver, or get an AMD GPU since they actually release their own legit FOSS driver.
