Showing real leadership is hard, harder than worrying about the news cycle. Real leadership is not about flash, not about showing dominance, and definitely not about looking the part publicly. Who knows what he needs to work on in his first

The amount of comments on this article that are emotion and fear-based, rather than fact and experience-based is surprising for HN.

If you're comparing his returns with your own, take into consideration risk-adjusted returns. Traders try to avoid massive downside risk, and the best ones structure trades where they stand to lose very little in most outcomes.

I had the most surreal experience in the Shenzhen airport the other day. I was out of cash, with only my credit cards and Android pay. There was no place in the entire airport that I could pay with Visa or Mastercard - the first time I felt

Announcing bad news as a founder is pretty heartbreaking. The less discussion about it the better, I would imagine.

It's ok to think of Sprig as a restaurant that delivers. The most profitable restaurant chains in the world make $2-3M per store, with repeatable success in new stores (with obvious much better than 0-15% returns). You're finding

Yea we see developer work as a key use case for the Superbook. We have a decent desktop browser in the Superbook, but it's going to take some work to integrate a full dev environment. Something that we're keen on doing.

Much more afraid of Google here. Or correction - much more afraid of us delivering such a bad experience software wise that no one will use it, meaning no developers will care to build software for it, meaning no one will care. And after th

Btw, if you're reading this and you are an Android dev interested in working on a really challenging technical problem (and not 'just an app'), reach out - we're looking to hire employees #1-3.

Haha I sense no underlying tone here at all. Yea we're going to try. I mean honest to god we're like any other SF startup. If we don't deliver, we're screwed.

Hardware locking is an option, but to be perfectly honest, we can be a lot more creative than that: - Freemium tier pricing - Software licensing for enterprise (security features) - 'Preloading' apps - Direct app integration into

Oh man, passed out (it's like 5 AM here in Shanghai). Great question. The hardware for the Superbook isn't hard, to be perfectly honest. We actually fully expect that we'll have copy cats, and there is absolutely nothing we c

I'm a big fan of this idea. We have a lot of active Andromium users in India. We are really liking the idea of going to market after Kickstarter to India.

Yea totally. I'm actually on board with this. If you're trying to turn a tablet or laptop into an Android laptop, use Remix. We aren't trying to do that - we believe that device convergence (a world where they only computer y
