I never quite understood why the division of integers resulting in integers was a problem. I get that for people with no knowledge of programming whatsoever it can be confusing, but it's standard behavior in nearly every typed language

Funny thing, learning programming (and in particular, learning vim) taught me touch typing. I was a 80WPM hunt-n-peck typist, and my typing/"business computing" teacher in High School was a 25WPM touch typist. She couldn'

Because for the average user, the features and power of a "Good" IDE are at best a nuisance and at worst a barrier to entry. I've tried using some, such as a brief stint with Atmel Studio some years ago, Eclipse, and a couple

It's in like the first sentence of the Readme. > Nulis is an open source tree editor for writers, inspired by Gingko. I will say that it's not mentioned anywhere on nulis.io however.

Current Python dev here. I've found the same thing. I really didn't like Javascript prior to using ES6. Now it's fairly tolerable. I'm currently building an app with a React based front end and a Flask-based API for data

That's my pet peeve with my current (1st gen) X1 Carbon. I hate having to carry at least 3 dongles with me nearly everywhere. I usually travel with an mDP to VGA, mDP to HDMI, and a USB3 Ethernet adapter. I'd much rather have some

Yeah, I wish the advanced time was configurable. It was more of an issue when I was living in Puerto Rico, but getting through security at that airport would often take much longer than is normal. So I usually left about an hour before Goog

This sounds like the lead in to a fantastic spy movie. The rag-tag team of ex-spies have to band together with the younger techy team to hijack a Snowmobile and modify data on the fly, barreling down the highway.

Partly, that's because the x201 is so old. It's had about 7 years to mature support. I had an x201 new, and I ran into all those problems listed above for the first two years. Hell, I had to use a USB WIFI dongle for the first yea

The thing with current bionics is that they are not... mindful in the way they are in GitS. Today's bionic limbs are pale imitations of our natural ones, though they are leaps and bounds over the stationary or slightly mechanical limbs

That's one of my pet peeves... There's an official phonetic letter system, why don't they train these people in call centers to use them? My last job used radios for site communication, and everyone had to use the NATO phonet

Simple (though maybe more costly) solution is to send a bunch of boxes. Send only $2-2.5K worth of cartidges per box. Might double or triple your shipping cost, but would be cheaper than paying out of pocket for the value of lost package.
