I've tried Hipmunk several times because I feel like I should like it, and though I agree it has some great UI elements, I've never found a flight I've wanted through it. It just amazes me that it's still so hard to get quick and decent-en

Choking on water? That's a curiously strong reaction to a very common location for a feedback button!? They obviously want some feedback on their new design. Where would you place it?

Sorry I'm not understanding but really wanting to. What do you mean "more emotive"? What exactly could be done to this page to make it more "emotive"? What takes away from its "emotiveness"? About the products page -- overall I think it l

I agree most of the non-WP phones are feature phones (though the Aisha line is on the border from my understanding), and that feature phones are going to evaporate outside developing nations, however the "developing nations market" is still

Concerning 1: What about their Lumia and future Windows Phone line? Or their future tablets? I agree that the future of Windows Phone is uncertain, but it has been gaining a lot of popularity, press, and very high customer satisfaction l

Cool. What I wonder is what are the main differences between this and Endomondo? From my understanding it does the same things basically?

Few points: 1. I don't believe it's an accurate statement to say Nokia is dead (if even as a stand-alone company). They have several great things going for them today, it's just hard to see if you're not looking beyond the current quarter o

How is this different than the iPhone or Android metaphors? There you have a bunch of tiles that are all the same size. Is that more confusing than different sizes?

It's interesting that this understanding exists. To note a few case: the Windows Phone was awarded the most intuitive phone, and another one that said it's the best phone for people over 50 (or 60?). Also user satisfaction is right up the

I don't know much about LG's intended strategy, however the market would be better of if only the partners that are very invested in this technology would actually make the tablets, and not just anyone that thinks they could profit off of i

And it failed. I think the point is that it's nothing that anyone has tried recently, as the technology just hasn't been good enough. We're in a completely different world than the one in 1993. The question now is whether the technology t

Are you suggesting this isn't newsworthy? The company behind the most used OS by the mass market on the planet is announcing their own hardware for the next version of their OS. Their own hardware for their own OS is something they haven't

The previous MS Surface never became mainstream, or reached mass market. Therefore it doesn't matter. IMO calling it "surface" instead of "tablet" is brilliant. It distinguishes it from tablets and conveys "touch".

Yeah seriously. Microsoft might actually become publicly cool someday soon. This was the most impressive thing I have ever seen Microsoft do -- both in terms of quality of presentation and product. I guess we'll see if it is as impressive

Is it really failing? It's a latecomer, but it's gaining traction. Windows Phone phones are best sellers on AT&T in the US, and supposedly beating the iPhone in terms of sales in China. With Windows 8 coming out, who knows what will

Firstly, I don't think it really matters if there's a small community. Or if it satisfies the nerds. In the end they need volume, that's it. That's also why I think Android will suffer long-term -- it just might be too (or overly) complex

Yes but Photoshop has the tools and buttons to accomplish the same thing. Generally you learn those first, and the hotkeys second. Jumping directly to the hotkeys, especially without any sort of hotkey chart, I find off-putting.

Cool. One of the things that confuses me though are the hotkeys (control+shift+5 turns the div into a button? not very intuitive). Instead of hotkeys, I'd prefer to be told how to do it normally (in some intuitive way).

1. From my understanding all reports were that Symbian had just become too heavy to maintain and improve. Thus not worth it. 2. I don't think it matters too much if Meego would have outsold Lumia 800. Again, it's not about selling individ

They're making a long term investment with Windows Phone (WP) -- with the current plan they probably won't reach profitability for another several quarters. If the plan succeeds, Nokia will be profitable again when the point comes where WP

I think an important distinction is also that the purpose of the math test graph is to specifically quantify prior learning (ie. it provides a reasonably realistic measurement of learning) -- this is not gamification necessarily. The badge
