As I understand it though, this wouldn't be the case in the future if one becomes a Filecoin storage provider in which case one could be holding some illegal content. IIRC though some sort of blacklisting protocol will be provided in

Knowledge is not cheap to move around. (At least not currently) Information is cheap to move around though. This perhaps is a subtle distinction, but an important one. Maybe eventually when we can directly write knowledge into peoples&#x

Sure, but as technology develops faster new jobs will emerge; therefore, even though traditional jobs are shrinking newer positions will open up. What we can say for sure is that there will be whole new fields and jobs tomorrow that don&#x

You can see my reply in another response... IMHO the long long term answer is convergence. Well it's probably either convergence or total eradication by intelligent machines, so I'm going with convergence for now. :-)

That's simple. The jobs that are in demand and are needed. Software development, green energy, healthcare, etc. These jobs are not currently being upset by technology, which can easily be seen by the salaries that companies are will

The long term solution is automate as much as possible and subsidize/invest in education. A robot in china more or less costs the same as a robot in the US. We are never going to be able to compete with the Chinese or other southeast

This is really exciting to see and something I feel has been missing for some time. I think if this is grown correctly it would be a great acquisition for Docker to make. It always struck me that I should be able to "docker push"

I couldn't agree more. It's amazing how disconnected the building of software is from how it is funded.

When organs are transplanted today they were formed from DNA that was not your own, so it would not surprise me if there is some physiological reason that might explain why people feel that way. When I mention recreating a replica I don&#x

I think this is likely implementation issues. Transplanting a different persons hand to your body that doesn't look like your hand probably would be quite jarring. If we could recreate an exact replica of someones hand then I doubt t

I agree that by our current working definition here that it would be no different than death. Which is to say then that death is not really to be feared. (Maybe the manner in which death occurs should though) The comfort or lack of comfo

Right, exactly. Cells die and are replaced all the time. Sometimes people have vital organs transplanted. Yet, I assume most people still consider that their current body is "them". What would be weird is if you kept the old yo

This is my hypothesis as well, but I think if you were to shut down the "old you" (e.g. goto sleep and never wake up) you really wouldn't care. You didn't experience any pain and you don't exist anymore, so you hav

I think the parent's point is that for the majority of web development use cases (which I'd wager was a large percentage of the Vagrant user base) Docker has eliminated the need for Vagrant. Agreed, though that there are times wh

From a development perspective, what's the advantage here over just using Docker Compose? Is it the baked in recipes that it provides?

Yeah tiddlywiki is by far my preferred way of storing this type of information. Coupled with a FreeNAS box I can't really think of a better way to store this type information.

The point is there are many people looking into this(not just Oklahoma either, Texas, Arkansas, the list goes on) and the only plausible explanation that has been put forward for this sudden increase in quake activity is the result of frack

There is strong evidence that indicates that recent fracking activity(2009 and onwards) in Oklahoma is solely responsible for the earthquake activity they are seeing -> http://www.decodedscience.com/increasing-earthquake-

I prefer using vi bindings (from bash type "set -o vi" to enable) to the ^R method. If you know vi/vim then the results you get are very intuitive. Hit Esc to enter vi mode and then hit "/". Type your search
