Funny I am developing since 1986 too. One of the reasons of the chaos is JavaScript. Yet like it or not after mid 2000's many complicated apps are targeted to web only (Gmail etc). Now with the advance of new APIs Browser started to behave

Most of them's tool support does not even compare to Dart. Dart code can run directly in Browser for the starters, multiple strong IDEs, sane debugging and modularity support.

Not necessarily. Dart provides 2 options: - A strong tool supported language that translate to Javascript. So you developed large applications far easier with Dart VM in the browser, then just compile to Javascript for deployment. Debugging

Cannot say one favorite. But Children of Heaven impressed me a lot when I saw it first. Perhaps because I saw the innocence of children that we have long lost.. Princess Mononoke and Howl's Moving Castle are also very good.

I firmly believe the opposite. To me, he is the one made Google focusing on what really matters for the future of the company. You need to make tough decisions sometimes and I think he was correct in "almost" all of them. (I have no affilia

IT has been a while. But for what it's worth they recently added a search functionality in Google project hosting pages (For in project search). Such as: https://code.google.com/p/dart/codesearch

Open JDK Implementation was provided by Joshua Bloch (He was a Google employee until recently). And I would not call it a rip-off.

This is rather disturbing. Event they lower their margins crazily they cannot match say, Nexus devices. Plus this would be a softare-hardware lock-in that Turkish people cannot effort in the future. Very very bad move, if they do this..

DuckduckGo is not a search engine. You dont need to be an expert to see that fact.

Well, sure if you want to use 1000 servers instead of 100, go ahead and use it. No wonder Facebook noticed this and desperately trying to compile Php to C. Perhaps if Blekko ever gets popular we will see if their choice will bite them. Also

Sadly, I do not have that experience. I know what everybody knows. I guess it is extremely hard. Software-Infrastructure wise it is possibly one of the most challenging product. Competition is stiff, so going global is almost not a choice.

This is simply not true. Not every problem can be solved with caching. If DuckDuckGo would be a real search engine, they would not even touch with a 10 foot pole to Perl for any non trivial algorithm/function. edit: fix the name

Custom Perl solution O_o. Ok seriously, no matter what, DuckDuckGo is still just a front end of some search engines.

You meant typescriptlang.org ? I guess they can make it easier. But, - The procedure you wrote is not that hard for a developer who wants to build the whole thing. - Dart has much much more stuff than typescript. (vm, browser, editor etc)

From what I see, Go is not really meant for web development. I think Google's real bet on web and general app development will be Dart, as Go looks more like a C++ replacement. Also from the project page, I see like 80 people are committin

In my old 16 inch notebook I cannot notice pixels at all. And font rendering is just fine. Ok I have an eye problem but still I fail to see the point of having very high resolution on a small screen. What is the catch?
