I've opened up the website https://projectbluefin.io , but it turns out that this is not a website, but rather a web application. You cannot do things like this and claim it is built for developers. Scrolling lags, it shows

How is this different than running a docker container based on scratch, containing a single statically linked binary?

All that is true, but the errors produced by the compiler, unconventional syntax and steep learning curve make Tex something that could be improved.

I have a Firefox account to sync my browser settings. Renaming it to Mozilla account feels like trying to convince me to use other stuff that Mozilla has. Regardless of Mozilla being an "opensource friendly" company, this is perve

Where do the finances for foundations like come from? Purly donations? Or is it government funded? This is a key information one would be looking for on the site, but i cannot find it.

That's exactly the problem - codegen means a lot of things. You just talk about codegen and expect people to understand that you mean the AI vomit.

Vanilla python? Where do you get this impression? The leak to SQL is trough s-strings, which are chunks of SQL that gets inlined into the resulting SQL. The long-term plan is to remove them completely, but they are needed as an escape-hatch

People really like to associate relational algebra with SQL, probably because they learned them one alongside another. But SQL is really terrible relational language - it breaks a few core concepts in different places, like relations being

I really don't see how english is a better query language than SQL. Yes, SQL has a bunch of sharp corners you have to learn, but plain english can be very ambiguous. Creating an interface that that is simple at low query complexity is

Analytic queries are not the primary intended use of EdgeQL. It would be doable, since EgdeQL is compiled SQL within the edgedb server, but this compilation depends on the schema of the database - quite heavily actually. It expects specific

Well, I would not recommend this tool to a development team which wants to speed-up the design part of building applications, unless it provides some kind of version control. Ideally that would be what they use already, which is probably gi
