What's your hourly rate? Could you please do that in 25 minutes for me? I'll pay for that. It would take me hours if not days to work out all the details.

Check out Haxe: http://www.haxe.org/ A programming language with many compilation targets, not hard to learn and somewhat similar to Java. Also used for a lot of (2D) games.

I use "this should never happen" branches when creating new code fully expecting those branches to be hit so I can debug the case. Those branches ought to disappear once the code and tests improve but we all know how that goes :-)

I've got the same dream but about Lispy languages, preferably Common Lisp. I'm sure more people around here have the same dream about their favorite language :-)

That's basically what rats do. I've got pet rats and they're cute and intelligent, but they're rodents optimized for breeding. That can breed so fast it isn't even funny and they destroy everything with their teet

That is a silly comparison that I have seen a few times now. The monitor will last you for at least five years, the Rift will be outdated within the year.

Oh, this was an annoyance until I installed a clipboard manager (parcellite in my case) which automatically syncs the different clipboards.

While that has certain advantages it'll also make the ad serving still consume bandwith. (Which is probably not much of a problem if you're at home.)
