Pointless until you start dealing with macros. It can be important in some cases to know whether the closure "code" has been evaluated at that point or not.

Doens't really matter whether it's public information or not in my opinion. Most of the nastiness of doxxing isn't from private info becoming public, but from it being posted in a highly public place. The occasional strange

Yep, Steam frequently locks up like that for me. It hasn't crashed, but it takes some jiggling to be able to click on any menu items within Steam again.

And better yet, four weeks notice + 4 weeks savings. Split the responsibility for redundancy between employer and employee. I worked at one job where a guy was made redundant - for economic reasons, not incompetence - just two months after

Government setting prices works for the NHS in the UK. If a drug is too expensive it just doesn't get authorised as a treatment and we go with something else. The collective bargaining power of the nationalised system effectively fo

Yeah, it's very cool! Sadly it doesn't seem to have great performance for a multihull. The spec sheet says 14kn top speed and 5kn average, which is rather poor for a 115' cat! A sailing cat of that size should be able to g

Not mentioned in the article is how to deal with the encroachment of backdoors worldwide. If we allow the US to have a backdoor, we've allowed the principle of backdoors in general. What's stopping the UK asking for its set of k

Those people are called teachers. Generally somewhat expert in their topic. Usually more so than the parents. If a kids approach to homework is to try everything and leave the answers he can't do for mum and dad, he'll be crippl

More importantly, why are parents doing their kids homework anyway? They're never gonna learn - how - to learn, if the answer is always to ask mum and dad.

Well a huge amount of sport is about mentality, so winning a nice streak really does make people invincible. Also, I wouldn't necessarily characterise Silva as regressing to the mean, just getting old.
