humans have time. that is a form of capital. humans have needs. there is no shortage of customers. before currencies, there is trade. who is the customer in a trade before currency? it's an exchange, not a purchase by a customer from a sell

Yes, it gave them an impulse to find areas where they could do something that people judged valuable enough to part with their money. (e.g. learn how to design web pages and make bad flash animations ;) It also did help people who buy groce

Clever idea! I would always want to compensate (and have ip paperwork in place) for anything i'd use for financial gain. I think it's a great way to get part of the addressable segment of developers. Probably don't want it to be 100% of one

This makes sense. Your project is too big. Get a smaller piece or version working that does something useful for someone. Don't refactor code. Just get something small(er) working.
