Clever idea! I would always want to compensate (and have ip paperwork in place) for anything i'd use for financial gain. I think it's a great way to get part of the addressable segment of developers. Probably don't want it to be 100% of one's recruiting efforts. Actually there could be a nice paper in this for a psychologist or sociologist, hehe.
