I have about 1000 Facebook friends, most within that age group. About 15 people still post there at all. I know more people using Facebook for college meme groups than for social interaction.

Maybe for your friend group, but absolutely not mine (20-25). That market is huge for advertisers. Thar said I can't imagine their losses ever being recouped in ads.

It seems like the problem is that any data that works statistically will not be fair to individuals who are intuitively exceptions to the general trend. It sounds like algorithms relying on statistics are pretty much guaranteed to fail the

This is about how long people stay at the same job, not the framework stability. In my experience people hop from job to job often enough that you'd be regularly training people on a language unless they already knew it when hired. So

I'd argue frameworks are their own language built on top of another, but this is all semantics. As far as learning curves, I'm taking the GP's word on Ember's difficulty to learn, but generally as mentioned below, I don&

I'd point out that often rare and often unused skills get higher pay due to simple supply and demand. I've heard similar salary ranges for Assembly programmers for example. Angular and React are widely used, and there are many peo

Um where do you think this is happening exactly that people know that beachball = carjacking? Based on the language used, I suspect you aren't in such an area and are coming up with an unrealistic scenario here.

If you want to post at a more public and linkable level, there are many other services and nothing stopping you. That feature would do nothing for the current users of Snapchat and would really be against the purpose and spirit of the forma

Snapchat is primarily used in the US, Canada, etc. In the US, there are 23.8M children aged 12-17. If we average it out and assume that every year when a kid turns 13 they start using Snapchat, that's only 4M users a year. Given their

There's nothing on a Snapchat profile really to share, as it should be. Stories are for friends, not public consumption. What content is actually needed to be seen outside of Snapchat?

I think a key difference is that Snapchat is not a feed app. There's no endless scrolling to waste 30 minutes on to give you that dopamine hit. The time spent is mostly being spent as a messaging app I suspect if you look at the levels
