Are you getting enough magnesium? I know this is just some guy in the internet, but you may as well give it a try after you talk to a doctor. I take it, and I have noticed a distinct improvement in my sharpness, so to speak. Perhaps clarity

My post is a reply to one of Suckerpinch’s videos. You can just click the YouTube link in the parent post to mine.

I actually wasn't making an argument but posing a question. Your reply seems defensive and emotional. I'm not sure what you mean by "act abusively" since the core of the product is storing and viewing source code. I mean

What's the value proposition of not using Github? Github is such an incredibly useful project. I actually go out of my way to avoid projects on Gitlab and co, just because I don't want to have to worry that it's going to just

Wait, Arnold shot the guy in the gun shop? I haven't seen the movie in ten years, but I think that's prior to the shootout at the police station?

Suckerpinch is one of the best youtube channels out there, I love his work. I came here to link this once I saw the title, but you've already done it! He reminds me of what Forth people get so excited about, fitting so much into such s

The method of gratification is different from porn is different than to video games. I don’t have to get off to enjoy obliterating people back in the quake days, but porn is a different psychological mechanism entirely. I’m trying to assume

In terms of enjoyment, yes. In terms of overall harm reduction, no. It's still a bad thing for humanity at large but it may have a knock-on effect of pacifying people who would otherwise pay significant amounts of money for new content

So, how do you reconcile this opinion with the fact that Ruby can't even do a proper REPL on Windows? It just starts showing weird output, overwriting lines and doubling up other ones... that other language just works. And look, I LOVE

They declined to hire the homebrew guy because he sucked at whiteboarding. Apple is terrible for FOSS. I like their phones but I’d never write for them or use/support their machines. Edit: I was wrong, twas the Goog, in fact.

I mean, it actually completely failed in this instance to prevent bad behavior, so...? I think you are meaning to say that it can bring accountability to these companies, in which case I'd agree.

My wife and I play a game with dice called 100. You roll two dice, and you have to decide which permutation to keep, and it gets added to your score. So, if I roll [3,1] then I can add 13 or 31 to my score. The aim is to take turns and get

Insomuch as this may be an adequate design, for many cases the fact that it’s not open source is a nonstarter. I’d certainly never touch it for my teams and workgroups at work, because we need to be able to host it and isolate and harden. D

This person is posting this to gather attention for his work on HN, so he probably doesn’t have billions of dollars of dirty slave-labor fast fashion empire money to advertise with like H&M…

What about using like a Wacom drawing tablet in order to interact with APL? I've never tried any of the Iverson-verse languages but the non-ascii inputs seem daunting and cumbersome.

It’s an assumption that you’ve made on your own. I have been to over twenty weddings across my career, all from people I’ve shared a workplace with. I’ve bought baby shower gifts, I’ve been to graduations, birthdays, divorce hearings, rehab
