It’s funny how everyone thinks that the threshold for any tax on the rich should always be a bit higher than their own circumstances!

All popular languages seem to try to do too many things. Scala just seems to have achieved more than the others and has became infamous for it. Just like any language, just use the bits you need for your project and apply KISS (Keep It Simp

Is there anything more satisfying than reviving some random old appliance with a pdf service manual found on the internet?

I recently noticed that DigitalOcean App Platform allows you to pull an image from a private DO registry. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but I’m excited to see if it might allow me to delete some CI/CD infrastructure glue code. L

That’s what made Silicon Valley so good. I think a lot of us technical wannabe entrepreneurs go through this learning experience. It made the show really resonate.

Success by which measure? I fear that a solo entrepreneur making a B2C product that also alights with their passion is firmly in the danger zone - you’ll want to keep making crap that’s no one will use while your passion clouds/hides a

Check out The Mom Test and find an audience to talk to first. Validate any idea long before you build an MVP. In my opinion it's two separate steps. I must admit I've also fallen in your trap many times myself. It's too fun t

The UI being too similar to Airtable is a big turn off for me. It reminds me of a flea market I once visited whilst travelling. The trader there was trying to push $10 Yeezys, swearing that they were "genuine", making me feel very

UAE and Israel are working together on an oil pipeline to bypass those high costs of the Suez Canal. I recall it could reduce northbound oil tankers on the canal by something like 15%.

I don’t trust Cummings, I trust the scrutiny of the select committee and the FT journalists.

Gosh, that article is incredibly revealing of some serious cronyism going on. It does also, however, confirm that the task force was operating outside of the DoH as per the original point.

Aren’t the cited measures all lagging indicators? It might be that the batch size has now increased past the sweet spot but the impact won’t show up until they look to raise Series A.

Administering each vaccine seems to be 100% NHS. While it is quite likely that Cummings is full of it, he did specifically mention that the vaccine task force works outside of the Department of Health. “That is why we had to take the vacci

The EU “time-wasting meme” comes from a direct quote from the AZ CEO. According to Dominic Cummings recent select committee hearing, the vaccine programme was largely built outside/adjacent to any existing NHS processes. It was given N
