I think this is an interesting approach, and I think many people in this thread are missing the point. When you are a company that needs to maintain multiple clients across platforms (web, android, ios, and so on) it is very hard to be good

The reality is surely not so simple. How come the FDA regulations are written by the companies but then the tests for covid were super slow to be approved. More probable explanation for what is happening here is bound to be complex.

Funnily enough the biggest offender of Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) metric in my daily life is google search with its "people also search for" feature that causes me to constantly misclick. Lighthouse is great though :)

You are correct. But: 1. The article uses the term "fossil fuel commitments" and not "pollution" 2. Air industry bailouts are not necessarily increasing pollution compared to pre-pandemic levels.

Yes, this is correct. If you (somehow) tie the bailouts to limiting short-distance flights, than your bailouts are becoming more environmentally friendly. But again, doing regular bailouts is not necessarily tipping the scales in the anti-e

Let me first check if I understand your argument correctly: You are saying that my argument is wrong because subsidies to something like agriculture while also not directly encouraging fossil fuel usage, can potentially increase the CO2 out

I did not include car industry lifelines in my comment because of this. You can help electric car manufactures more than fossil fuel ones and vice versa.

Sure, I found this misleading because whether the entire industry is running on fossil fuels or on green electricity is orthogonal to the bailouts. The bailouts where concerned (at least according to the proponents) about job loss in the av

I think electric airplanes are still the more probable future. My understanding of the current problem is that the weight to energy ratio in electric batteries is still too high for useful flights. But this ratio is improving year by year,

This article is a little misleading when it includes aviation industry bailouts as "fossil fuel commitments". Not only this is an indirect connection, but also there is no green air travel (for now). Regardless of your opinion on

Ok, I think I have found the answer. The number is from Shell itself - 45% is its target CO2 emissions reduction by 2035. The court seems to have moved the deadline by five years and made it legally binding. [0] https://www.cnbc.

Let me try to offset the cynicism here. These are welcome news. Seems like a small company in short amount of time was able to develop and validate carbon removal. Stripe's commitment helped them do this, which is great. I wish them fu

By "they lose their shares/options if they quit" do you mean vesting? Because if you do, then you are not losing shares that you have already earned. And founders also have vesting.
