> something substantial Not really. More like $4-500. For a price of a "next gen" console you can build a PC that can run modern games at 1080p. Granted, not the highest settings but even that is achievable for less than $1000.

Another thing that is not mentioned, is that Steam on OS X is kinda bad. Tends to freeze often etc. In the case of Linux, Valve has the incentive to ship a better version because they'd be running that version on their Steamboxes as we

Because it's a laptop? It's just an inferior experience, especially since the hardware isn't what you'd call beefy.

Looks cool but I couldn't bother spending more than 30 seconds on that page. Do you seriously expect your users to scroll for 2 minutes to present information that could be put into a slideshow/GIF/video?

Bare in mind that the Titan is not the fastest GPU, the 290x and the 780ti are. And they're decent at 4K: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/11/11/geforce_gtx_780_ti...

That may be it; in the last couple of weeks there's regularly been some useless Bitcoin related speculation/incorrect statistic etc. on the frontpage. Or the constant announcements how much one is worth.

Our company inherited a Grails project, and I had to help the developer out occasionally. Frankly, Grails seems horrible, especially since it mixes the nice language that is Groovy with just craptastic JVM stuff. Is there any other mature f

Actually, a $4-500 PC can outperform/match these "next gen" consoles today. With parts bought from a store, so assuming Valve can get the parts cheaper, they can assemble a better performing machine for less than $400. Here&#

I really fail to see the point of Dart, especially since awesome client side frameworks like Angular already exist. Why doesn't Google throw more resources at them instead of creating something from scratch that has a very high possibi
