I don't think it was "a mess" (just reread it this spring). Books support a lot more alternatives to structuring a story than most movies, with their tight time limits, want to explore. That doesn't mean movies are bette

He's more the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime. Who is he? Why does no one know of him? Incongruent facts are always interesting. IMO.

Yeah, it's more humid in central Texas, but also there is a lot of stupidly designed architecture that doesn't cool well without AC.

PEP 582 is only a DRAFT, though. Not sure I want to sign on to a solution that might undergo substantial revision or be rejected.

Huh. Top uses of my phone are music/podcasts/audiobooks while I exercise, and as a second factor.

That won't happen. There are too many cases where it helps law enforcement in reasonable ways. I'm OK with tech companies choosing data retention practices that make them unable to answer certain kinds of questions, and, in fact,

This is just false. Go read the literature on nicotine. It helps create artery disease, both in terms of blockages and having them explode (hardening of the arteries) later.

by adamc 4y ago
Very untrue. Nicotine increases hardening of the arteries, increases blood pressure, and seems to contribute to other elements of artery disease.

How do you know MTBF for recent (new) products? If they get a waiver, why wouldn't manufacturers make every product model-year-specific to avoid such a requirement?
