Do you have a source? Are the number of people per square foot much higher? I know in Tokyo people's expectations are very different.

One way is to pay for feature requests. Pay $10 a month for you or a proxy to vote on various features to be developed/maintained. There are multiple ways this could be funded. I don't know if any would work.

Tech has a tendency to become monopolistic. Well funded open source competitors seem like a solution as it would allow anyone to compete. Fund the development of software and not the distribution. It would realign incentives to the consumer

It's like a torrent. You don't host data that you haven't accessed. For content to stay hosted on your computer forever you have to explicitly pin it. The number of people hosting it is the number of people accessing it. Clou

Yes, that is covered in my wikipedia link and a comment below. There is a replication crisis in many fields. Not every field.

Interesting! Sadly medicine has a replication crisis. I don't think chemistry or physics does.

Thanks! I didn't notice that they would send you a report. It's nice that they provide it. I understand why they use such misleading statistics, it just hard to trust people that do.

Thanks. This model seems much less predatory as you have a stake in their success. The school they are considering has a 97% success rate which seems too good to be true.

Is this open to Canadians? A friend is considering a coding boot camp and it seems like a lot of money upfront. Also how do the success rates compare?

Is this marketing? Ethereum only runs at 15 transactions per second. If you want your App to run at 8 transactions per second then yes you are going to stress the network and see costs rise till people stop using it.

Unions seem like a good answer to increasing consolidation of businesses. Even in tech there has been wage/benefit reducing collusion/monopoly behavior. Why are people so anti-union? Would opt-in collective bargaining work better?

Things are usually structured to prevent suicides. For example windows in tall buildings are locked, helium gas for balloons is now mixed with oxygen. Most methods have non zero chance of survival and consequences. You weren't built to
