Not OP. In page rank you have a graph of pages as vertices and links as edges. In this case you'd want users as vertices and up votes as edges. Page rank would give users a high score if they are up voted by other users with high score

Yes, but if computational cost is a concern there are other options.

Thanks, it's interesting to learn what is a practical problem when growing a discussion website. Is it possible to deter troll behavior by using a reputation system and investigating bad behavior? Reputation that takes a long time of g

Are there simpler heuristics than page rank? Perhaps a reputation score determines how much your vote is worth?

Have you considered fading the text of low score claims? Currently my attention is drawn to good and bad claims equally. Only after reading do I check the score and realize the claim is incorrect. It wastes my time reading bad claims and th

Have you considered democratizing moderation? If many people agree that a claim is a duplicate of another claim then it's probably a duplicate or at least the community wants to treat it as such. Also instead of removal just make it le

I'm not trying to completely solve the problem. I'm trying to be less complicit in it. I'm thinking of the story of the English factory workers that refused to use the products of slave labor. It didn't stop slavery but

Is there a way to determine which products use slavery and to what extent? Edit: https://knowthechain.org might work. Don't drink Monster.

This doesn't solve the problem. There are multiple exchanges. If a real time exchange experiences a price drop then you could quickly sell stock on the quantized exchange with the hope of being randomly chosen.

There was a Ken Burns documentary on Henry Ford who made an entire town where iron ore went in and cars went out. He found it dystopian and dirty and it eventually closed.

Thanks for the reply. I'm considering the BBS02 but I really like the torque sensors. I was hoping that there was some mass produced Chinese model T but couldn't find it.

What Chinese electric bike is worth buying? Electric bike review seems to point to Western brands costing several thousand dollars. Any recommendations on where to start looking?

I know in Microsoft it would be relatively easy to push destructive code changes. It depends on the product though. I was able to connect to production machines. There was someone running torrents in the past.

The article explains one issue is that the investors in bond ETFs have an unrealistic expectation of liquidity. When the ETF becomes illiquid and is dropping quickly, the conservative bond investor may rush to sell and cause the ETF drop si

How do bond ETFs work? I thought with stock ETFs they were convertible when you had a large number. This would keep the etf price in line with it's underlying assets. The issue with bond ETFs is I don't think the underlying bond i
