I don't have Facebook, and all of these needs for connectivity are taken care of by WhatsApp group chats, essentially. It feels far more intimate and immediate than Facebook ever did too.

Thank you for posting this. Great read, and nice to see the team at Monzo sharing this level of detail: consumable but still detailed.

Langewiesche is an excellent writer and journalist. The Outlaw Sea is a brilliant compilation of these articles.

I find the science and history of so-called "super guns" very interesting, and this article was no exception. Disappointed only slightly there wasn't more on the background of these weapons, such as the Nazi V-3 Cannon: http

Sensational work. Really. I don't have much more of a constructive comment to add, but sometimes I feel it's just necessary to say "well done". Brilliant.

Regardless of veracity of OP's claims on Twitter, it's worth noting he sells "bone broth" and other animal-derived health and fitness products. There's always a dog in the fight somewhere.

Debunked, unfortunately, as it seemed a story 'too good to be true' even at the time: https://www.snopes.com/ap/2018/08/07/police-2-men-escape-car... "Itzehoe police spokesman Peter Berndt

A remarkable story. I admit I was hesitant upon starting reading that it would be a little lacking in depth, but it wasn't. It was uplifting, confusing, interesting and thoroughly recommended reading/watching.

I agree. Purely anecdotal from me too, but I feel so much more productive when I fast 16/8. I stopped feeling ravenously hungry after the first couple of days, and frequently fast for longer than the 16 hours in a single cycle.

What an unnecessarily hostile response. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything - one of the issues is that you have people who not only deny it's happening, but are trying to convince people it's not happening. Regardl

    > Nobody is disagreeing that there is an issue. Nobody. Actually, I think one of the key issues is you still have powerful, vocal pointing out there is no issue. For example: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canad

What was the 4/5 debacle? Owned a 2 myself, loved it, but then totally drifted out of the PC gaming and graphics card 'scene'.

EDIT: I'm removing this comment, as I feel it bordered on ad hominem and didn't add anything to the discussion. As you've been downvoted anyway, I don't really think I've anything else to add.

Having worked briefly on a unit attached to the show, huge amounts of Top Gear during the Clarkson era were also "staged". (I'm assuming by that you mean scripted).

I've worked a lot with Chris Harris on various projects with car manufacturers. He is indeed a very nice man, with a great sense of humour, and hasn't let his slightly bumpy road to televisual semi-stardom change him.

Sure, I understand what you're saying. It wasn't necessarily the poor targeting, simply the volume of ads that were pumped in and all such terrible quality.
