At some point, Shark Tank could be fun. Someone on Reddit mentioned a similar postcard app and I still need to find and watch that episode. Right now the plan is to spend as much time as I can talking to customers and improving the product.

I hadn't thought of metadata yet. I'm unsure if it comes through MMS. I'll have to check. We do know who is sending in the photo and we support captions (scroll down to the mushroom hunting photos for an example). When captio

Thinking about things like that but don't want to end up like Saul Goodman. Reddit suggested an Adopt a Nana last week ( https://redd.it/7fg6q3 ) which I love in theory but would need to go deep on to make it work in pra

Very good feedback about marketing to Grandparents. We've got some further testing to do. On pricing, just want to confirm that you're seeing the price of $7.99/mo for 10 photos and not $0.79/mo for 10 photos?

Awesome feedback, thanks. HN launch could be fun. We haven't done that yet. Andy left this comment a couple hours ago on a whim and all of the sudden we're getting tons of crazy feedback! Right now we're just focused on tryin

The best side benefit so far is probably how it's getting Grandkids to visit their Grandparents more often. My fiance and I visited my future Grandma-in-law on the day her photos were delivered. They made plans to get together for brea

Thanks for signing up Matt. Just sent a response to the support ticket you sent. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about that bug. We have the ability to do matte or glossy already and I just need to get in there an add it as an opt

Haha, yes. They were placeholders that ended up going live. Premier is named after our Grandpa, who calls things he loves "Premier". His friend he was in the Boy Scouts in during the 1940s is the Grandfather of Andy's best fr

I don't really understand your point. In 2012 I was working on a startup that was DDoS'd and it was not fun. This was back before Cloudflare offered a DDoS service and we ended up having to hire a random company in Canada to help

I think the term is "functionally extinct". The blight doesn't affect them until they're 20-30 years old. There's a very good chance they'll die. I don't think they've found a blight-resistant strain

TL;DR - Two good ways to measure if you're making something people love: 1. Your users actively tell their friends about your product. 2. NPS surveys. In the beginning it seems like the best way to measure if people are telling their f

I think a good NPS survey asks why instead of just collecting a number and a great founder follows up to learn even more about why.

Really dig Go Go Grandparent. About a month ago my 93 year old Grandpa was hospitalized for pneumonia. His license was taken for 30 days (either by his doctor's recommendation, or by mandate, I'm not sure) so he was house bound. M

This is really neat. It sounds like you're learning quickly. 22 houses in 11 months sounds like enough to learn from. Are all 22 houses rented out currently? I've never been to India and don't understand the market too well.

I dig it. StubHub and others don't seem to be innovating much and appear to be designed for scalpers instead of fans. Doing user acquisition for this product would be fun. Given tickets are inherently event based and each band (hopeful

I like the idea and a point-of-sale like system seems like it would make a good product. A couple years ago a new bar opened up across the street from me. At the same time, a liquor store down the street was going out of business and put mo
