Did you read the article? The health and welfare provisions of the law aren't being contested-just the part where its illegal for anyone other than an established restaurant or agent of an existing restaurant to operate a food truck. The ru

I'm a little bothered by articles that paint DefCon in this kind of light. I'm a regular attendee or DefCon and I have NEVER seen any sort of the behavior as described in the article. I also noticed that her examples all take place off site

Thats because Unicode is STILL a pain to use. I read the articles that come along about Unicode and still don't understand why handling it is so impossible. Until its transparent for a programmer to use, it won't be as widely used as it sho

We buy physical servers in a managed datacenter. They provide the box and KVM access to it. We pay a reasonable price for top of the line hardware thats not on our balance sheet. We do all of the software bits (OS, updates, deploying softwa

That might work for him running a small business. How do you think those images you 'just spin up' at a cloud provider are made? Who makes sure the boxes that run those images you've just brought up have power and run smoothly?

I live in Ann Arbor (pretty green area) and drive a hybrid Camry so my data may be way off-but around here I see plenty of hybrids. Not as many large cars as my Camry (which btw is a fantastic vehicle only made better by being a hybrid) but

In the Universities I've worked with, or visited, the computers in the labs (Macs anyway) have all been using Kerberos in one fashion or another-AD uses Kerberos, so does OpenDirectory (OS X directory offering).

No-if you try to submit a blank password it is (rightly) rejected. If you submit a non-blank password, the login succeeds. This (to me) points to the LDAP server responding with a login success message and the OS allowing the user in. This

This is only an issue when binding to an OpenLDAP server. There may be additional issues with LDAP on Lion server, but this problem as reported is an issue with Lion clients bound to servers running OpenLDAP without Kerberos or SSL.

I can't really agree with you here. While there are many ex-Ford/GM/Chrsyler/Visteon/etc guys out and about, many of them are running their own quite successful businesses outside of the Big-3. I'm not saying they're all out of the auto bus
