The community for GSAP is still amazing and there’s years of forum posts for most questions you might have. Motion and anime are great but I’m skeptical that either have a lion share relative to GSAP.

A draft model is something that you would explicitly enable. It uses a smaller model to speculatively generate next tokens, in theory speeding up generation. Here’s the LM Studio docs on it: https://lmstudio.ai/docs/app

Not on-device but for local network I’ve been looking at Speaches[0]. Haven’t tried it yet, but I have been running kokoru-web[1] and the quality and speed is really good. [0] https://speaches.ai/ [1] https://hu

It’s not out yet, but the upcoming Framework desktop [0] is supposed to have a similar unified memory setup. [0] https://frame.work/desktop

Anecdotally, Claude code performs much better than Claude within Cursor. Not sure if it’s a system prompt thing or if I’ve just convinced myself of it because the aesthetic is so much better, but either way the end result feels better to me

I think it’s just reached critical mass (and has been picked up by the hype peddlers). It’s been gaining momentum for months.

I think this is the reasonable answer. Langchain gets a lot of derision and rightly so but it does have uses for prototyping. It’s also a good resource for learning the landscape specifically because of the integrations. I haven’t used it i

You posted this same comment[0] nearly word for word a month ago. Why is that? Not sure why, but “many on hacker news fantasize about fusion (not fission)” stuck in my head. [0] https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41677250

A real-time interface for my Fantasy Premier League… league. It calculates point totals up to the minute, which the official app lacks for some reason (can take hours for final point tallies). It’s mostly an excuse to play with data process

Wondering the same. It seems like the answer is no but maybe it's because I'm not logged in?

Agriculture is a big one. We have an independent forecaster locally that posts on Facebook. People tend to check in with him around hurricane and snow storm times. It seems like his paying clients are mainly farmers.

Are there any reliable breathing monitors? Apple Watch/Oura ring have some respiratory metrics but only while sleeping (afaict). A quick google search showed me Oxa [0] but I have no clue if it's reliable, much less while sitting&

Give yourself to the embarrassment. Publish for your past self. Or publish for someone smarter to come along and correct you. (Currently trying to take this advice as well)

As an example, if you’re familiar with Refik Anadol, he/they use vvvv for many of their works. https://refikanadol.com/works/melting-memories/

Yes but the agencies are typically hired by MPAA/RIAA-adjacent groups. They purport themselves to be pro-artist but are mostly serving the interest of (and are funded by) major labels/studios. CreativeFuture, IIPA, etc.

I have a setup like this in my office (but with a larger filter and gaffers tape for the edges). It isn’t smart and it’s loud. I’ve mitigated that slightly by putting it on a wifi plug and running it full blast when I vacuum or when I leave

Is it? I remember a lot of the launch video being depicted in an office or studio environment, aside from the dad taking 3d photos of his kids.

Light on game mechanics, but I'd say Bellwoods[0] is elegant. Wayfinder[1] has a similar vibe/mechanic (same author). [0] https://bellwoods.xyz/ [1] https://wayfinder.nfb.ca/

I haven’t tried it yet but have been thinking about it. It seems like you’d want front/side views to detect leaning. Kinects would work but you could also use old iPhones with ARKit or any camera connected to mediapipe.

Can’t say for certain, but I think the speed has improved over the past several years. Definitely more stable (for me anyways). I haven’t used i3 so I can’t compare the two.
