This thread seems to be about the Citizens United ruling that happened during the George W. Bush administration. He nominated 2 justices, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito. Congress confirmed them. There were 7 other

How many justices did President Bush specifically nominate that were subsequently confirmed by Congress? Unless it was 5 or more, I fail to see the connection the original post of this thread was trying to make. EDIT: typo 4 -> 5

My comment never said otherwise. I just feel that it needs to be said that it is incorrect and inappropriate to blame the composition or the rulings of SCOTUS on a specific President. The government was intentionally designed to prevent t

I dipped my toes in the water with literally the cheapest M1 I could buy…the base model Mac Mini was on sale for $499 so I sort of impulse bought it to see if it could replace my PC. I was blown away by the performance of this tiny little

Please take the time to learn about the basics of how our government operates. It’s not Bush’s Supreme Court. The President does not directly control the process of appointing Supreme Court justices. They merely nominate them and Congres

I really hope Microsoft can turn things around. A Sony monopoly would be terrible for console gaming. No matter what your feelings about Microsoft are, there really isn't anyone else that is likely to be able to compete with Sony at

It’s nice graphics, but it’s also voice acting, and robust storytelling that sets a good AAA game apart from indie games for me. Honestly even some of the indie games are getting pretty incredible graphics these days thanks to Unreal Engine

Spot on. I want Elder Scrolls 6 to basically be Skyrim in a stunning new location, with better graphics. Ditto for Forza Horizon 6 and the next installment of The Witcher.

A lot of people truly underestimate the distance between towns in some rural areas of America. Another major issue is that rural areas are frequently subject to extended weather related power outages that can last days or even weeks.

I think we’re seeing market saturation at work. I suspect that most of the people that want, can afford, and are able to make an EV work for their needs already own them. The truth is EVs are still more expensive than ICE vehicles, have si
