I’ve bought 3 Apple products so far and own 2 of them. iPhone, iPad and a MacBook Air for a gift. I’m extremely happy with all of them. That being said I would never buy AirPods. The reason? They make you look like a douche. Maybe the sound

I'm curious if I delete (I mean real delete, not disabling) my FB account, do they keep it as a ghost profile of me i.e. Facebook still knows that I exist as a person in the world? I've been thinking about just getting rid of it,

I'm not from the US (born in Eastern Europe), but I'd like to share some of my own experience. I'm 26 now and I barely finished high-school because I thought it was a waste of time and I was working on my own projects and lea

As other comments mentioned, just use the Linux sub-system + I would add Cmder as an alternative to the horrible native console. Edit: Cmder - http://cmder.net/

I remember something about Sublime being written in Python? Also I'm more curious about the feature set. The performance argument can be made again for Sublime vs VSCode. Doesn't matter to me because I've switched from Sublim

Might be a little off-topic, but I dislike Walter Isaacson's style. His biography of Steve Jobs was in my opinion underwhelming. I remember some time ago I read Jeff Atwood's blog about this exact same thing. He mentioned how he w

Bulgarian language pack :D This might be little off-topic, but I have yet to see a single Bulgarian developer who'll use a Bulgarian language pack in a piece of software they use. Most of us stick with English. Nice effort nonetheless.

Electron apps could be resource hogs, but VSCode is my favorite editor by far! I don't care if it'll load 1 second later. Same goes for others like Slack, Discord, Spotify. I want them to look the same everywhere I use them. I jus

Reading input from my own country it seems I'm grossly underpaid right now.... Makes me feel extremely bad. Perhaps it's time for negotiations with my boss.

The closest thing I've found to Duolingo for Chinese is an app called ChineseSkill (Android and iOS). It's pretty good for the most part. My learning stack so to speak consists of HSK textbooks, Skritter, ChineseSkill and recently

From a pragmatic point of view Chinese would be much more useful, but there are a tons of good resources for that already, so dunno. Congratulations anyway. I've used Duolingo to refresh my German some time back.

I've just skimmed through "How to Think Like a Computer Scientist: C++" and I've got to say it seems like the best intro to programming and C++ I've ever seen. Definitely better than Bjarne's "Programming

In my university we started with C++ and pretty much everything was done in it (4 years). Although I've had C experience before that, I'd say that teaching C -> C++ to a complete beginner will be pretty hard on them and won

You Americans (at least I think the majority of you are Americans) are getting quite ridiculous arguing over this. Supporting a political candidate is a personal choice, one that is given to every eligible individual in a democratic state.

As far as I know, Microsoft owns Pluralsight. They also recently bought Digital Tutors. Perhaps another big merge will happen between Pluralsight and Lynda.
