I'd consider only pushing 20Mbps on a 2.5GbE network more than a lack of optimization. Supposedly you can tune some buffer sizes to make it better, but it's still laughably bad for serving larger files.

has anyone figured out why caddy is substantially slower (thoughput, not latency) than nginx at reverse proxying? i've switched it around for my seafile and it's a night and day difference.

yep, that's hynix m-die. not sure what the status quo is, but you used to be able to buy a cheap kit as long as the timings indicated hynix, and they'd manually overlock quite high without issues.

That's the smallest size, 32 on a single module also exists. There is no conspiracy to deprive you of density. Most consumers will just appreciate latency over more than 64GB of memory. And yes, that's a real world performance gai

The calibration to get just 2 sticks to be stable is around 20-50 seconds already, during which the memory controller is testing different sequencing and even clocks for individual lanes to minimize interference. So unless you want to stop

Almost nobody runs 4 sticks of unbuffered DDR5 anyway, because you wouldn't be able to get them to run above 4800 and you'll be spending several minutes waiting for memory training. And you get a minimum of 16GB per stick unless y

If you set your cache to not evict and use the same proxy for several instances, it also solves bandwidth. There might be a small issue with privately shared media and authentication through, that could prevent multiple instances from using

I always thought Pleroma solved this problem much more elegantly: proxy the media from the origin, and cache a set amount of data. Also respects other people deleting their servers/media and prevents someone posting CSAM becoming a pro

20-04-1889 is Hitlers birthday. In combination with 1488, it really isn't far fetched. It's convenient that it has gained other meanings, but it's absolutely being used as a way of identification in nazi circles, and as a mem
